From vision to infancy, stage after stage of growth, the URJ Camp George has been a magical home to thousands of campers, faculty and staff. It has been the source of precious moments, joyous memories and lifelong commitments for all who have spent time here. You have given Camp George its personality, its purpose and its soul. You, the supporters, givers, workers and friends are the people who have made this beautiful place a home for all of us who have walked on its path.

If you were not able to join us for the second annual alumni Shabbat at Camp, here is what you missed - old friends together again in the place they met, a pick up game of basketball on the new basketball courts, a beautiful Shabbat t'fillah overlooking Maple Lake, a rockin' super spesh song sesh in Mifkad, and alumni guest performances during Shabbat Idol. Thanks to everyone who came out. If you missed this year's event don't worry, Summer 2012 is just around the corner.

Last year, the Alumni Committee established the Alumni Scholarship Fund to make the dream of a Camp George summer a reality for more campers. The Alumni Committee is committed to raising enough money to send at least one child to camp this summer. And we need your help! Please make a donation to the Alumni Scholarship Fund and help us send a child to camp this summer. Make a donation to the Alumni Scholarship Fund today by contacting Melissa Komlos in the Camp Office at (416) 638-2635. Donations of $36 or more are tax-receiptable. How many campers are we Gonna Get to George?

Calling All Alumni!!  WE DID IT! We Got Campers to George!  Thanks to all your generous donations, the Alumni Scholarship Fund was able to send one camper to camp this summer to participate in a Dreamweeks session.  On behalf of the entire Alumni Committee, we thank you for helping to make our dream of sending one child to camp a reality.
